NVRPF Events

On behalf of the Northern Virginia Regional Park Foundation, I am pleased to invite you to join me for the inaugural “Darrell Green/Brambleton Golf Classic”. The event will be held on Monday, October 30, 2006, at Brambleton Regional Park Golf Course. The shotgun start will be at 11:00 AM.

I have teamed up with the Northern Virginia Regional Park Foundation to present this golf tournament as an opportunity to raise money to support high school golf programs in Loudoun County. Three Loudoun County High Schools – Briar Woods, Park View and Broad Run -- utilize Brambleton as their home golf course, practicing and playing their matches on this outstanding Hank Gordon design course. The proceeds from this tournament will allow these schools to continue to use the facilities at no charge to them or the schools. Brambleton is providing use of the course, carts, practice range and practice green to the schools. The Foundation has assumed responsibility for funding these activities.

In order to raise the money to support these golf programs, I am urging you to join me at Brambleton for this event. We are seeking sponsors, golfers and donations in order to meet our aggressive fundraising goal for this tournament. Our success in providing these programs for children depends on you. Please sign on as a sponsor or put together a foursome and join us for this day of fun and friendship.

The Northern Virginia Regional Parks Authority has established a 501 (C) 3 foundation to help raise funds to enhance the regional park system. The Northern Virginia Regional Park Foundation (NVRPF) was created to generate new sources of revenue to expand, improve and conserve Northern Virginia’s special natural and historic places and parklands.

From the Beltway (I-495), take Rt. 7 west toward Leesburg, turn left on Belmont Ridge Rd. (Rt. 659). Drive 7 miles, turn right on Ryan Rd.(Rt. 772) and continue 1 mile to entrance on the right.
Take the Dulles Toll Rd. west toward Leesburg. Take the Greenway Toll Rd. to Exit 7on Rt. 772 (Ashburn). At the end of the ramp, turn left on Loudoun County Parkway which will become Ryan Rd. and drive 4 miles to the park entrance on the right.
From Rt. 28, take Rt. 50 west 5 miles and turn right on Old Ox Rd. (Rt. 606). Drive 3/4 miles, turn left on Evergreen Mills Rd., drive 4 miles, turn right on Ryan Rd. and drive 1 mile to entrance on the left.
